Register interest in Voltvik

Voltvik is under development and is not sold. We keep a list of those who want to hear from us when there is something to try. No payment, no commitment and no promised date.

Prototype Voltvik device recessed into a plywood front in a campervan, with the battery page on the screen: 98 %, 13.50 V, 0.3 A and status MAINTENANCE
Wireless battery display

Built for motorhome, boat and cabin

The hardware, Mopeka readings, Victron reading and RuuviTag indoor and outdoor are verified.

Voltvik is in the validation phase, and there is no device to buy. Prototypes are lent to testers and taken back — they are not transferred. Company formation, CE marking and EE registration come after the product has been validated, not before. That is why we have no delivery date to promise.
Two devices

Voltvik consists of exactly two devices

Blikk is the main product and is being developed first. Vri is the larger variant with a physical rotary wheel. They share almost all firmware — only the board layer and screen layer differ.

Voltvik Blikk

Verified on hardware

The small round screen. Built on ESP32-C3 with a 1.28" round 240×240 screen and capacitive touch. Small enough to mount several of them in the same vehicle.

Indicative price: NOK 899

  • Screen, touch, Bluetooth and WiFi run at the same time
  • Eight pages: BATTERY, CHARGE LEVEL, DC CHARGER, INVERTER, SOLAR, GAS, WATER and TEMPERATURE
  • Wireless firmware update — 1.65 MB in eight seconds, without cable
  • Setup directly on the screen, without network and without app

Voltvik Vri

Not started

The larger round screen with a physical rotary wheel, built on ESP32-S3 with a 2.1" round 480×480 screen. The hardware has not been ordered, and work will not begin until Blikk has been validated further.

Indicative price: NOK 1,599

  • Rotary wheel you can use with gloves, while moving and in the dark
  • Same interface and same firmware as Blikk
  • A larger surface for anyone who wants all the numbers on one page
The prices are indicative and preliminary. The bill of materials has not been collected, so the cost is not known. The figures may change, and none of the devices can be bought today.
Interest list

Register non-binding interest

We do not accept payment and reserve nothing. You will be notified when Voltvik takes the next validation step, and again on the day the device can actually be bought.

The form opens your email client with everything filled in. Nothing is charged, nothing is reserved, and you can ask to be deleted from the list at any time.

Where we stand

Honest status, without promises we cannot keep

The hardware works

Blikk has been run end to end on real hardware: screen, touch, Bluetooth and WiFi at the same time, with wireless updates. The device connects to the network on the first attempt and then remains stable, without unexpected restarts. Mopeka Pro Check H2O and Pro Check LPG have been verified with real level, depth, temperature and battery percentage, and Victron SmartShunt/BMV-712, SmartSolar MPPT and Orion XS have been read from real equipment. Three RuuviTag sensors are installed in a motorhome and read temperature, humidity and air pressure — both indoor and outdoor variants.

Prototypes are lent out

Test devices are lent out and taken back. They are marked “prototype — not for sale” and are not transferred to anyone. No money changes hands.

The formalities come last

Company formation, CE marking, EE registration and trademark are handled after the product has been validated. Only when all that is in place can anyone buy a Voltvik.

Questions we often get

Short answers to the essentials

Can I buy a Voltvik now?

No. There is no device to buy, and the product is not sold. We do not accept payment, deposits or reservations. The interest list is only a way to be notified.

When is it coming?

We have no date, and we are not going to invent one. The Victron reading and RuuviTag indoor and outdoor have now been run against real equipment, so the next milestone is to show several devices of the same type at the same time — two batteries, several chargers, several sensors. If it goes well, certification and company formation follow afterwards. If it does not go well, we will say that too.

What is the difference between Blikk and Vri?

Blikk has a 1.28" round screen with touch, and is the one we are building first. Vri has a larger 2.1" screen and a physical rotary wheel you can use with gloves. They run the same firmware and show the same eight pages.

Do I need Victron equipment?

No. Mopeka tank sensors are read without Victron equipment. Lippert/Furrion is not supported. BMS support has been written for JK-BMS, but requires more memory than Blikk has, so it requires Vri (Pro). See the compatibility table on the front page for details.

Will there be a subscription or cloud?

No. The device is intended to work standalone without account, cloud or subscription. Home Assistant is optional, not required.
