Power the device

Use USB-C or rear cable. With a rear cable: check polarity and use a 1 A fuse.

Open settings

Keep your finger on the screen for about one second. It works from any page. To exit again, swipe down.

Turn on setup WiFi

Swipe to the third settings page, NETWORK, and turn on “WiFi”. The pages are not numbered on the screen. The dots under the title show where you are, and the green one should be number three. Shortcut: hold the rear button for 2 seconds to turn WiFi off or on — but never during startup.

Connect the phone to the network

The network is called Voltvik- followed by four uppercase characters, for example Voltvik-BE84. It is open and never asks for a password. The name is also shown on the third settings page, NETWORK, on the screen. If it does not appear immediately, wait 20 seconds. Voltvik first looks for a network it already knows, and opens its own when it finds none.

Open the setup page

Type the address directly in the browser. Some phones open the page by themselves, but do not rely on it.

If the screen is already connected to your own WiFi, use the device’s own IP address instead. You find it on the screen, on the third settings page NETWORK.

Let the device find your equipment

Under 2 · Find your devices you will see “Nearby devices”. Voltvik listens for Bluetooth LE equipment around it and fills the list itself — strongest signal at the top. The Fill in findings button puts discovered devices in the first available slot. Mopeka Pro Check H2O goes into an available water slot; other Mopeka types go into a gas slot.

Equipment you have already entered is shown with your own name, for example set up: Fresh water, so you can see what remains. If a device disappears from the list, the row is cleared after about 20 seconds.

Enter the Victron devices

Under 3 · Victron devices you will find six free slots. Each slot has three fields: name, MAC address and bindkey. You choose what goes in which slot — the screen figures out which page the device belongs on by itself.

Enter gas and water

The tank setup has two gas bottles, Gas 1 and Gas 2, and three water tanks: Fresh water, Grey water and Black water. The names are only suggestions — you can change them to whatever suits your vehicle, boat or cabin.

For gas, enter the BLE address, leave the medium set to propane if it is a normal gas bottle, and choose Bottle size. If you choose 6 kg, 11 kg or 14 kg, Voltvik sets the correct Empty reading and Full reading automatically. If you have another bottle or tank, choose Custom and enter the readings yourself. Under Show level as you decide whether the GAS page should show Percent or Kilo. Kilos are calculated from the level and the bottle’s net weight — it is an estimate, not weighing, so it assumes the bottle size is set correctly.

Water tanks work as before: the Mopeka sensor is stuck under the tank and measures upward. For a normal flat-bottomed tank, leave Empty reading at 0 mm, and set Full reading to the tank’s internal height.

Done — there is no save button

Each field is saved as soon as you press Set. The device starts reading immediately, and the settings survive both restart and power loss.
